Funky Disco Themed Wedding

Taylor & Taylor set out to create a unique and memorable wedding that was sure to make their guests rave for years to come. They incorporated a funky classic disco themed playlist complete with a big disco ball and lots of fun props for everyone to enjoy. Our setlist consisted of funky disco club hits from the 70’s and 80’s with some classic throwbacks from the 90’s and 2000’s mixed in. Everyone was dressed up and ready get down and boogie all night long. Some of their must plays were KC & The Sunshine Band, Donna Summers, Kool & the Gang, ABBA, and Blondie. They also had songs from String Cheese Incident and STS9 on the playlist which really made their wedding soundtrack unique and “tailored” (no pun intended) perfectly for them.

As a DJ, I love it when couples really dive deep into their personalities and provide me with the right information so that I can help create a magical setlist that flows and vibes for them and their guests. It’s very important that couples keep their guests in mind when planning their music AND choosing the right DJ that fits the vibe and ambiance.

Our first set starts off with some classic oldies like You Are The Best Thing, Your Love Keeps Lifting Me Higher and Sing-a-Song by Earth Wind and Fire. Finally the rain disappears and we open the doors so guests could enjoy the amazing Howe Farms patio that is adjacent to our dance floor. Our 2nd set opened up with the Thunderstruck game, which got everyone fired up! After that we led off with three of my all time favorite wedding tracks: September, Let’s Groove Tonight, and Push It. From there we kept the vibe up until about 9:00. Then we dropped in some more modern jams like No Hands, Pony, and Get Low. Rounding out the night we played Fannie by the Bee gees and our closing song was World Go Round by STS9.
