Hello and Welcome I’m DJ Reece, here’s a little background on me:

I was born and raised right here in Chattanooga, Tn. I grew up in a musical household where my mom played the piano and my dad was a drummer. I also played drums throughout high school and taught percussion with some local marching bands after I got out of school. I switched over and started singing and playing the guitar in the early 90’s and went on to pursue this as a full time side hustle with my best friend Tim. We played around town for many years, acquiring quite the following and entertaining tens of thousands of people over the last 3 decades. I also was privileged to be a part of a wild and crazy party band called Bud Lightning.

I married my wife Sandy in 2001, we are going to have our 25th this year I am so excited about that! I have two chihuahuas and I still love to play my guitar whenever possible. My favorite activities are disc golf, driving my Jeep, and spinning records for people. My newest hobby is podcasting with my best friend DJ Dutty Laundry. You can check us out on YouTube it’s called the Spin Cycle – The Spin Cycle Podcast I also have a TikTok channel as well – @djreecevarnell

My DJ career started in 2011 when I finally left the bar scene. After a few regular events I got into doing weddings. I practiced hard and followed some of the best DJs in the business, learning how to be more than “just a dj” I still worked hard at my job but I felt like I wanted to do this full time so I took a step back from management and made the leap. I took a tremendous financial risk but all the while having faith that God and my family would see me through. Success or fail, I decided I could not forgive myself if I didn’t at least take a chance. After all, isn’t that what life’s all about?

In 2017 I went full time with my DJ business and left my job and since then have entertained hundreds of couples and thousands of wedding guests over the years. I think I have finally figured out my ideal style and goal for my business. I do find that my strength is being able to be flexible with my clients. Some are seeking a more family style, conservative vibe while others are looking for a full-on rager. While I am def not a club DJ, I do know party music and I mix my songs to get the most impact from them. I’m not super flashy, nor do I want to be the center of attention. I just love to make the music do it’s thing so when my couples leave, I know they had the best night of their life. I take the same approach with my corporate and private clients too, not just weddings.

In conclusion, I hope this gives you a little insight as to who DJ Reece is. I hope that my years of experience not only in life, but also in the industry, can give you a peace of mind knowing that I am here to serve and celebrate with you and make your wedding or event the best night ever!
